Shannon County Treasurer

The Shannon County Treasurer is the elected official responsible for receiving the collections from various county offices (Assessor, County Clerk, Collector, Circuit Clerk, Recorder, Prosecuting Attorney, and Sheriff). Funds are also received from the State of Missouri, Department of Revenue, National Forest, and other agencies. All funds are documented, deposited, and credited to the designated recipients, including schools, ambulance, health center, senior citizens, the sheltered workshop, and other state and local agencies. Together with the county clerk, the treasurer signs payroll checks for all county employees, vendors, and utilities. A full accounting is given on a monthly basis when all accounts have been reconciled.

The treasurer’s office is located on the first floor of the courthouse.
